Retailers and brands in 2025 will increasingly deliver personalized content, offers, and advertisements to customers who opt-in, either through loyalty programs or funded activities like movie launches. This strategy will enable retailers to access additional budgets from the consumer packaged goods (CPG)/ fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors and gain valuable insights into consumer preferences and behaviours. By understanding what customers like and dislike, and what marketing strategies are effective, retailers can refine their approaches to enhance basket size, shopping frequency, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

In 2025, the integration of advanced analytics will become a cornerstone of operational efficiency in stadiums and venues. By leveraging data-driven insights, venues can optimise everything from crowd management to sponsorship activations. Imagine a venue where real-time data analytics provide insights into crowd movements, queue lengths, and facility usage. This information will enable venue operators to make informed decisions on the fly, improving the overall fan experience and operational efficiency.

Edge computing will revolutionize real-time content production and distribution, enabling creators to deliver live, high-quality experiences to audiences. This will be achieved by bringing computational power closer to the user, reducing latency and enabling real-time processing of data. As a result, creators will be able to live stream high-definition video, host interactive experiences, and provide personalized content to their audiences with less delay.
Furthermore, the combination of edge computing and AI-powered content creation tools will lead to a more dynamic and personalized content landscape in 2025. Creators will be able to deliver immersive, real-time experiences to their audiences, while AI will enable the creation of personalized content that caters to the individual needs of each user. This will not only enhance the user experience but also open up new opportunities for content creators to engage with their audiences.

5G's high bandwidth and low latency will enable more seamless, high-quality video consultations, remote monitoring of vital signs, and real-time transmission of medical images and data. This will expand access to care, especially in rural and underserved areas, and improve the quality of care for patients with chronic conditions. For example, Verizon's 5G Ultra Wideband network is already
being used to power telemedicine and remote patient monitoring solutions in pilot programs across the country. We want to get to a place where patient data collected in the hospital and the home are easily available to care teams with patient care moving from episodic to true continuity of care of patients.
According to a recent report by Juniper Research, 5G could facilitate $4.7 trillion in real-time payments by 2026. 5G's enhanced security features, including network slicing and improved encryption, will protect sensitive financial data and combat fraud. Faster speeds and lower latency will enable seamless, feature-rich mobile banking apps, driving greater adoption and customer satisfaction. 5G will pave the way for innovative services like biometric authentication, augmented reality (AR)-assisted banking, and personalized financial advice.
